Time to celebrate World Water Day! 22 March 2013 On the occasion of WWD, celebrations and events are taking place worldwide. The programme of the day includes inspirational speeches, presentations, panel and thematic discussions, and a series of public shows on the theme of water cooperation. Featured Initiatives In every newsletter, we would like to highlight at least one initiative aimed at raising awareness on water issues for World Water Day and the International Year of Water Cooperation. For this edition, we present Walking for Water and the World Water Day Kids Forum.

Walking for Water 2013 more than 33.000 kids involved 6.000 students from over 80 schools around the world will take the walk! From Columbia to Pakistan, from Ireland to Kenya, kids are getting ready to take action and join the 27.000 participating students in The Netherlands, the campign is really going global! 'Letters for Water' and the World Water Day Kids Summit 22 March in Osaka, Japan In 2013, this educative forum will look at "What can we do to conserve and better share water?" and will be held in Osaka.
